We usually start with a simple blank sheet and very much tailor our web site designs to our clients exacting requirements. We'll look to make a "template" so that your new site has uniformity when your visitors jump from page to page. This also makes it easy to update key information across the site such as contact information and links.
Most web sites include the following so you'll want to think of something to say:
- Home Page - This is the very first page that is shown when someone visits your site.
- Services - this page outlines the services that your business offers
- Products - this might be part of an e-commerce solution and will show the products that your business sells. Users may be able to purchase goods online and pay in real time depending on how your web site is configured.
- About us - states some information about your business, what you do and how long you have beenin business for. It may also include "Mission Statements" to tell the world where you are going.
- Terms & conditions - outlines the terms and conditions of using your web site and/or doing business with you. If you are selling products on the Internet then you would want to include such things as refund policies or dispute resolution procedures etc.
- Privacy - this outlines how your business intends to manage information that comes into its site such as contact names and addresses, credit card numbers etc. It's to give a reasurance that you are not going to sell or make available details to third parties unless express permission is given by the owner of that information.
- Contact details - Your telephone number, Fax & Email details go here so that all of your new and existing customers can easily contact you. An enquiry form is also a good way of receiving queries.
Once we have all the information we need we will start putting your new web site together. There's quite a lot of work to do so we usually require a full business week before we are able to show any results. Additional work such as "Flash" presentations or additional "forms" will of course take longer.
